Select two cards: if they match, you keep them and uncover two more cards. If they're different, the cards stay in play and you lose a turn. Match all of the cards to advance to the next level!

Project Brief
Bunji, a character from PBS Kids Sprout's "The Chica Show", came to life in cartoon segments to accompany Chica on her adventures.
Match-Up with Bunji was a browser-based game available to play on PBS Kids Sprout's web site. Kids would use their memory skills to match cards on screen. Two modes of game play were available which, depending on the difficulty selected, increased the number of matches that needed to be found to advance to the next level.
Challenges
Development of Match-Up with Bunji went relatively smoothly. Due to delays in approval of the  artwork, I had to get creative with basic shapes and temporary images to build a functional prototype. Once approved, dropping in the final assets was a breeze.
Because PBS Kids Sprout was part of NBC Universal (which is now part of Comcast), the legal hoops you have to jump through were pretty consistent.
Conclusion
Working with the creative team at Sprout was a fantastic experience. Even though we encountered hiccups with design approval, I feel like we delivered a fun game for young children to enjoy.
